Sustainable Packaging Research (SUPAR) LAB
WELCOME TO THE SUPAR LAB AT TORONTO METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY
The goal of our research is to contribute significantly to the creation and design of sustainable packaging systems using system-based and data-driven design methods. More specifically, our research theme is based on the concept that sustainable packaging solutions can only be achieved when mechanical packaging interactions and human packaging interactions are quantitatively examined in a system-based design manner. As such, our team’s research program centers on three areas of interest: (1) analysis of the mechanical interactions between packaging components and material handling equipment during distribution, (2) investigation of packaging systems and designs using a life cycle assessment, and (3) quantification of human packaging interactions.
